A loss in our family
I'm sad to report that we lost our precious heeler, Dally on Sunday morning. She was hit by a car. We were so devastated, but know that she is being well taken care of now.

A little firefighter
Braden has become fascinated with fire trucks. She sits on the dock at the feed store waiting for the trains(his store is right by the tracks) and the fire trucks to come by. She knows where the fire station is downtown and by my parents house and looks for them when we drive by. One of Poppy's customers is a fireman and told us to go to the station for a visit. They were so nice to her, they let her drive, turned on the lights and gave her stickers. She loved it!!! She had to count all the trucks and ambulances in the station. Thanks to the Corsicana Fire Department for the kindness to a little girl! It made her day!

This time we're actually working....

Finally some cooler weather!!!
Yes!!!! We finally got some cooler weather. Braden and I could play outside without sweating through our clothes. We did some strolling yesterday at Grammy and Poppy's! Did a little posing, played with the kitty and just walked around enjoying the nice afternoon! Hope it will stay like this for a while! I was a little disappointed that I didn't have my camera (battery's dead), but that's ok, had Grammy's!

Poppy's birthday
Just for fun
Dressing up
We love shoes and purses! Braden found some shoes at Grammy's that I wore in a wedding. I guess they are being used for something now!

Tubes
We left my parents house at 4:00 a.m. this morning to be in Tyler at 5:30 to check in for Braden's ear surgery. We got checked in and they put a bracelet on her ankle. We had to make a big deal about it! Then they took us back to get prepped. She did so good, until the nurse couldn't get her blood pressure. After that, she put her gown on and was ready to go. Of course, she didn't really know what was happening. They brought her some medicine that made her quite drunk, she was so funny. My Uncle Johnny came over to be with us, and she was just really telling him a story. The surgery lasted about 10 minutes and it was done. She was a little mad when she woke up, really didn't know what had happened and why she felt like she did. She cried for about 20-30 minutes and then was ready to go. She ate a biscuit and drank milk on the way home and has been great ever since. Hopefully this will help. Boy is Mom glad it's over! I was a nervous wreck!

Fun at Grammy and Poppy's
We went to see Grammy and Poppy for the Labor Day weekend, actually, we're still here! Weddings, tubes, all sorts of things going on! Anyway, we went to see Aunt La and Finley on Saturday and did a little shopping. I think Grammy has created a little monster with the make-up. She thinks she can do it all by herself! Then Finley and Aunt La came and stayed at Grammy's for the weekend. Uncle B came down later! Had lots of fun with "Fin" as Braden calls her!

It's raining, it's pouring.....
We had been getting a lot of rain in South Texas! In fact, I hate to say it, a little too much! Nobody could do anything! We couldn't even ride Cocoa because the arena was under water, literally! Anyway, after a rain one day, Braden decided to play in GranK and Pappy's back yard. After all, it did look a swimming pool! Then we did a little jumping on the trampoline and got a little more wet! Oh well, what fun!!!!

Cowgirl Braden
GranK and Pappy bought all the grandkids a pony, Cocoa. Braden just loves her! She is so sweet and great with the kids! The big horses don't care much for her, but that's ok. Anyway, the day we went to pick her up, she had to put all her gear on - of course the pants were too long, but she didn't care. She had to wear her boots and belt, even though it was a little hot outside. She fell asleep going to get her because she hadn't had a nap all day - too excited! We have ridden her a couple of times and she talks about her all the time. In fact, she has to wear her stuff around the house, no matter what she has on.:) She also calls her bouncy horse Cocoa! Thanks GranK and Pappy!
